Landscape Support

When seeing the fact that the keyboard is in landscape, you’d be forgiven for thinking the phone would also work well in landscape mode no matter what you’re doing. Unfortunately this is not the case.

Yes, landscape mode is available for a number of features such as messaging and web pages, which is the main time you’ll want it anyway, but things such as the start screen and many apps will only work in portrait mode. This is frustrating when you slide open the keyboard, yet the screen stays in portrait mode.

Unlike most other smartphones on the market today, the LG Quantum doesn’t have a memory card slot. This means that you won’t have the option to expand your storage space in the future should you find that you’re running out of space.

Overall, the LG Quantum is not a bad phone. The keyboard is one of the best you’ll find on any smartphone, which could sway a lot of buyers who are specifically looking for a phone that makes typing easy.
